“ The hainan rice is very bland, not oily. Bagi kami, kurang wangi. We were party of 5 adults and 2 children. We ordered half half roasted and steam chicken. 5 hainam rice. Tofu and gizard and eggs. It is enough for all of us. The portion is quite big and fair for the price. The uncle and aunt are very helpful and accomodated the guests. We came on lunch time, already to wait to be seated for 15 mins. ”

Unfortunately the chickens which are likely frozen not fresh are rather tasteless. Sad. Anyway the cooking made them better. Prices are definitely much higher just like other food. “ Visiting this shop on and off for the past 30 years. Tender, juicy roasted and tender white chicken. Always come early before 1130am to beat the queue and busy crowd. The old school hawkers's attitude but they meant no harm. In the end they can be friendly too. The roasted drumstick is my favorite. Rice is just right. Paired with well made chilli and dark soya. Portion maybe be smaller now so I have to order double portion. Still it's one of the better hainanese chicken rice in Singapore. ”
